Hello! Just curious what the rules are for resort pools, specifically for bringing food and beverages from our room. For example, can we bring a small cooler with snacks, cans of soda, water, etc? Thank you!

    Hello, Joanna,

Thank you for sending your question to planDisney.  I often think that not only does Walt Disney World have incredible theme parks, but the pools are also so wonderfully themed they are nearly an attraction themselves.  They are a perfect way for my family to enjoy a break during the day or to cool off in the evenings or to just spend the entire day relaxing poolside.

I was quite certain that guests are welcome to bring their own food/drinks with them to enjoy on the pool decks, but I did contact Walt Disney World on your behalf to confirm my initial thoughts.  I was correct; you are welcome to bring your own food/drinks in a soft-side cooler with you to enjoy.  Please don't bring in any glass containers. The resorts also often have pool bars and nearby quick-service restaurants that guests can also use to get goodies and beverages.

By the way, did you know that there are also some amazing water parks at Walt Disney World?  While there are two water parks, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is the only one currently open at this time, and it is incredible.  The Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool is so fantastic that guests can even take surfing lessons there! My style, however, is to grab an inner tube and spend my time floating around the lazy river Castaway Creek. For a different kind of fun at the water park, there is the 3-hour party Disney H20 Glow After Hours for guests to enjoy the water park at night with some extra surprises.  Even though it is a 3-hour party, guests can enter earlier to have more time there.

Wishing you a magical trip! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
