Hi there Sinan!
Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for stopping by to chat about your upcoming vacation to the
Most Magical Place on Earth. I'd be delighted to offer a penny for my thoughts.
My daughter discovered the Coin Press Machines while ordering breakfast at
The Mara during a recent stay at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Once she started gathering coins, she was hooked! She purchased a Disney Princess folder for them in our resort gift shop, and she intends to use it throughout future travels. It's a fun and unique souvenir we can collect during our adventures.
For your convenience, nearly all Coin Press Machines in the theme parks,
Disney Springs, and resort hotels are now digital and do not accept cash or personal coins. Use a credit card, digital wallet, or
MagicBand to pay for your pressed coin, which the machine now provides. A shiny, uncirculated penny will appear after payment. Currently, you cannot use your own penny in any of the machines, and you will have a tough time finding one of the rare hand-cranked quarter press machines that still allow you to use your own quarter. At this time, you might still find them at the
Rainforest Cafe® in Disney Springs or
Rainforest Cafe® in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, but this is subject to change as machines undergo updates. If you find one, it should accept your older quarter. While these quarters don't generally work in vending machines, you might get lucky in the Coin Press Machines.
I hope this is helpful, Sinan. For your convenience, if you open the
My Disney Experience mobile app and type "Coin Press" into the search feature at the bottom of the home screen, you'll find a map with marked locations of Coin Press Machines to help guide your search. Thanks so much for sending your question to us, and best wishes for a memorable visit.
Have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow,
Betsy
