Hi there! Very curious if I can have outside guests come to the cabin for a birthday celebration? No overnight stay, just family that lives locally while we are visiting who would like to celebrate as well, wasn't sure about pool access and parking.

    Hi Tamara!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I thoroughly enjoy 'resort hopping' as there is always so much to explore, with each Resort hotel being so unique, and you can absolutely invite your guests to visit you at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, but unfortunately at this time Guests are only permitted to use a Resort hotel pool if you have a Resort reservation there. However, anyone can visit another Resort hotel to relax and enjoy a different location.  You can all enjoy a drink together in the sunshine or share a dining reservation. Self-parking at the Resort hotels remains complimentary if guests are visiting for a meal or entertainment or other activities during the day, as long as there is no overnight stay.

If you choose to use the complimentary Resort Transportation, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is linked by a short boat ride to Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Wilderness Lodge, whereas the Disney buses will take you to any Resort hotel from all the Walt Disney World theme parks. For a more time-saving option, you might like to consider using the Minnie Van Service to travel between your different hotels. These are driven by Cast Members and can accommodate up to six Guests. You can make your booking using the Lyft app, which will also show you the cost of this service. Alternatively, you could stop by the front desk of your hotel, and ask them to hail you a taxi cab. Please allow some extra time for this, as there may not be a taxi readily waiting at the resort.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World, and remember to keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news and updates on events that may be happening during your visit.
