Hello there Sofie, I'm proud to wish you a very Canadian welcome to planDisney!
With it being well over
Halfway to Halloween and that much closer to the
opening dates of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, I hope you're getting excited and
planning out your costumes as the spookiest season descends upon Walt Disney World Resort at little sooner this year.
Thankfully, by the time of your trip this October you'll hopefully experience some (slightly) cooler weather
compared to the current summer heat as darkness falls upon the parks earlier! Cast Members from the Guest Services and Ticketing teams confirmed that as far as theme park operations go you'll be happy to hear that since
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place in Magic Kingdom Park this typically does not affect showings of Fantasmic! over at Disney's Hollywood Studios. (Contrast this with later on in the year when
Disney Jollywood Nights may definitely affect showtimes!)
What you'll want to be mindful of however, is how the movements of the crowds can factor into how busy it may get when
Magic Kingdom Park closes to day guests or non-attendees departing at 6:00 p.m. for the party. I like to keep an eye on the
My Disney Experience app to observe and track the standby waits across all of the theme parks as guests spread out and make their way over to Disney's Hollywood Studios, and decide whether any significant spikes in the evening might suggest a busier showing of
Fantasmic! and perhaps waiting for it even earlier just in case there might not be more than one showtime.
I hope this helps! I also recommend keeping an eye on the
Hours & Events Calendar as you get closer to your trip, as the Fireworks & Nighttime Entertainment listings for October haven't been updated yet and may always be subject to change without prior notice. In the meantime,
stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog and come back to us here at planDisney for any other tips or advice ahead of your October adventuring!
Here's to feeling more treated than tricked on your Halloween-time trip!
