Hello, I am curious to know if my family and I can get pictures with characters without actually dining with them, and is it a long wait to get to meet the characters?

    Welcome Nicole!

I always insist my boys have their picture taken with Mickey and love seeing how they grow over the years. Funny thing though - Mickey never seems to change.

There are tons of character Meet and Greet locations throughout all of the parks that don't involve dining. In some locations, you can wait in 1 line and meet multiple characters. For example, there are 3 Princesses that appear at Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom (MK). You wait in 1 line and you'll meet Cinderella, Aurora and Rapunzel (Princesses are always subject to change). They pose separately with Guests for pictures and sign autographs. This location offers FASTPASS which will cut down on your wait.  You can also meet 3 Fairies at Tinker Bell's Magical Nook at the MK.

There are some locations where 2 characters may pose together with Guests like Mike Wazowski and Sully at Disney's Hollywood Studios (DHS).

There are also some very unique character play and greet locations like Merida in the MK and Phineas and Ferb at DHS. I think one of most creative is Enchanted Tales with Belle at the MK.

Depending on what time of year you visit, the lines can get pretty long. If you have a character that is a must do, I'd suggest doing it early before the lines get long.

I'm happy to tell you where you can find the characters you'd like to meet if you'd like to visit me again. I'm hEAR to help! Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
