Hello, I was curious to know exactly how the hotels worked. What I mean is I need something from March 20 to til just the morning of March 24th

    Hi Alex!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending this Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR! I'm happy to be your planEAR today. One of the things I like best about a Disneyland Resort Vacation is that there are a lot of options when it comes to lodging; some hotels are even closer to the theme park entrances than the parking lot where local pass holders park!

It sounds like you need a bed for your head for four nights. What you can do is search on the 'Discover Disneyland Resort Hotels' page for availability. Disney owns and operates three hotels at Disneyland Resort, which are Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, the historic and iconic (ear-conic?) Disneyland Hotel, as well as the luxurious Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. There are two ways to book one of the above resort hotels: either as a room-only reservation, which means you'll sEARch for just a room and room price by entering your dates and the number in your party; or, you can sEARch for a ticket + room Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Package, which groups all of the tickets your party will need and your hotel room together. There isn't a price discount on booking both at the same time; however, there are a few more benefits to booking a package, like the ability to get a 100% refund on both your room reservation and theme park tickets should you need to cancel up to 30 days before your arrival. (Non-vacation packages can cancel a room reservation up to five (5) days before check-in, but theme park tickets not purchased through a package are unable to be refunded.)

Another option is booking a Good Neighbor Hotel Package. There are so many hotels owned by national chains as well as independent operators all over the Anaheim area that Mickey and his friends have gone around to all of them to see which ones have met their standards. Those that are worthy enough are labeled 'Good Neighbor' hotels, and can also participate in selling room + ticket packages directly through Disney. You can check out these hotels and their prices here on the Good Neighbor Hotel Package page. Pro Tip: You can absolutely book a room-only reservation at a Good Neighbor Hotel and then buy your theme park tickets elsewhere. This is what I do as I have status and points with some of the nationwide chains in the area. I use the Good Neighbor Hotel Package page as kind of like a search engine to see which hotels are within a certain walking distance, which locations offer free breakfasts, etc, and then go to that hotel's own website to book my room.

    More Pro Tips:
~Most of the check-in times in the area are between 3:00 and 4:00 P.M., and check-out time is usually 11:00 A.M.
~It's important to enter the number of guests and their ages in your hotel room search
~The three Disney hotels have luggage storage should you arrive before your room is ready.
~And you can also start using the pools of your Disneyland hotel as soon as you arrive even if your room isn't quite ready for you yet, so pack your pool gear where you can get to it.

I hope this helped to clEAR things up a big, Alex. And if it didn't or you have any more Disneyland Resort Hotel questions, We're All Ears!
