Hi April,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for stopping by to see us again. I love thrill rides and roller coasters, but I often travel with those who prefer the gentler side of Walt Disney World Resort. One of the most wonderful things about visiting Walt Disney World is that there is truly
something for everyone!
My son is an adrenaline junkie in his own mind, but often decides as we get closer to boarding that there is NO WAY he’s getting on a certain attraction. Not to worry! Just tell the next Cast Member you see that she is going to need to exit rather than riding, and they will show her exactly where to go. We’ve done this on Space Mountain, the Haunted Mansion, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and more. It’s actually kind of cool to walk through the back corridors of the attractions.
My advice is to be clear with your daughter about where you will meet after you and your husband finish riding. Often, those exit queues dump out in the gift shop, but not always. A Cast Member can tell you where the exit queue ends up, but it might just be easier to just agree that you’ll always meet beside the sign for the attraction. As a frequent visitor with non-riders, I can say that they will often grab a treat or browse the gift shop while waiting, so it’s good to have an agreed-upon meeting spot.
April, I hope your family makes so many wonderful memories together during your upcoming vacation. Now, more than ever, it’s a fantastic time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, and I hope you enjoy
all the magical new experiences, tasty treats, and special events in The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
