We are curious about dining reservations. I know they are 60 days out right now, but I have a trip in January. If that window changes back to 180 days, will trips in that window be given advance notice or opportunity?

    Hi Kristin!

Welcome to planDisney! I am always happy to discuss dining at the Walt Disney World Resort!

As much as I have been channeling my inner Tiana with the powerful wishes, I cannot speculate as to what might happen with the advanced dining reservation window. You are correct that currently we can make those dining reservations 60-days prior to arrival. My suggestion would be to keep an eye on the operational updates, especially the dining updates page and  the Disney Parks Blog. I can say that Disney Dining Plans are returning. Although we do not yet have a date, as soon as that date is available, it should be included in the dining updates.

As you prepare to make those dining reservations, may I suggest California Grill, 'Ohana, Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, The Crystal Palace, Be Our Guest Restaurant, 50's Prime Time Café, and Grand Floridian Cafe. Honestly, one of our favorite restaurants for lunch is Grand Floridian Cafe. The food is quite tasty and it is a fairly easy walk from Magic Kingdom. We adore breakfast at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera. The characters are super cute with their artistic flare. And, we always dine at California Grill during the Magic Kingdom fireworks. The window views are spectacular.

Make sure you have the My Disney Experience Mobile App downloaded. We have grown accustomed to using it to do Mobile Dine Check-in when in the parks and resorts. Just know that you have to be close to the restaurant to check-in. At Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows on our most recent stay, we could not check in to Kona Café from our room - we had to walk closer to the main building to check-in.

Kristin, I wish I had more definitive news. The happy news is that you have a trip planned!

    Magic and memories,
