    Curious if we buy Disneyland gift cards can they be used in the park rather than putting everything on our credit card to save us on interest rates and exchange rates on our credit card. This is our first time to Disneyland and we are coming from Canada.

    I am so excited for your very first trip to "The Happiest Place on Earth!"

    I love using Disney Gift Cards while on vacation at the Disneyland Resort. It’s a great way to stay on track with my budget and it can be more convenient than carrying cash. Disney Gift Cards are accepted at participating Disney-owned-and-operated locations throughout the Disneyland Resort including theme parks, hotels and Downtown Disney District. They can be used for theme park tickets, annual passes, tours, merchandise, and dining. 

    The face value of your Disney Gift Card bought in Canadian dollars will automatically convert into US Dollars based on the exchange rate on the day the card is first used in the US. After that first purchase, the amount you have left in US Dollars is “locked in” and you won’t need to worry about the exchange rate for subsequent Gift Card transactions. Be sure to check the bottom of the first receipt you receive when making a purchase. It will reflect how much money you have left on your Disney Gift Card!
