Hi there, Christina!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Can you believe that in ONE WEEK you will be at sea for your Very Merrytime voyage! I am so excited for you and all the fun that you will have with Captain Mickey!
I must admit that while I hear a lot about a Nintendo Switch, my boys have yet to discover it!! I know our day is coming soon though where game systems will become a part of our daily life, but for now I am pleasantly glad they are oblivious to it all. In order to accurately answer your question, I contacted my friends and Disney Cruise Line and they confirmed that gaming systems of any kind are not permitted onboard Disney Cruise ships. But, make sure your kiddos check out the onboard
Youth Clubs where they have different game systems for kids to play and they even have scheduled “gaming” activities to participate in. During Open House hours, adults are permitted to visit the Youth Clubs with their kiddos and play along side them, so you may want to take advantage of those hours and even visit Youth Clubs that your kiddos are either too old to visit or too young to go to during secured programming hours!
As you are finishing up your “to do list”, make sure that you’ve downloaded the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to your smartphones. You can use it to chat with other Guests while onboard which is especially convenient when traveling with some independent kiddos to keep up with their whereabouts. I have also found it extremely helpful when trying to locate a husband that goes MIA…usually to be found in the Buena Vista Theatre catching up on the latest movies!
Have the best time and make some wonderful memories!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
