Ahoy, Megan!
Thanks for sailing to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this excellent question! Congratulations on booking your first cruise aboard Disney Cruise Line! I'm so excited for you to experience all the magic that awaits you on every deck. You are going to have such a fun time exploring the ship. Hopefully, this will be the first of many voyages with Captain Mickey at the helm!
Just thinking about you sitting on deck, overlooking the ocean, while working on your cross stitch puts the biggest smile on my face! I do not believe it would be an issue if you brought your cross stitch along with you, as I don't see sewing needles on the list of
Prohibited Items. Just to double check, I reached out to the agents at Disney Cruise Line and they confirmed that to their knowledge, sewing needles are permitted onboard!
Even though I've sailed on multiple Disney adventures, I still refer to the
Packing List for Disney Cruises prior to setting sail! I recommend packing comfortable clothing and shoes, sunscreen, a great book (or your cross stitch!), swimwear and depending on your itinerary, any themed attire for special nights onboard like
Pirate Night! On embarkation day, I recommend carrying a day bag containing your proof of citizenship/travel documentation, medications that you may need throughout your voyage and any valuable items.
Megan, you're going to have such a fun time during your inaugural Disney Cruise! If you can think of any other questions, please come back and visit us again! We're here to help you navigate through the planning process!
