Hey Howdy Hey Joann and welcome back to planDisney!
I am so excited to hear you will have a larger party thanks to Disability Access Pass. It really makes navigating the park for everyone a whole lot easier and a great way to experience the Magic of Walt Disney World Resort together. Thank you for your question about some of the more popular attractions in each park. I will be happy to give you a little more insight into your options so you can best plan for your upcoming trip.
When it comes to experiencing the attractions in each of the theme parks in Walt Disney World, it depends on which attractions you want to experience as they may be subtly different. In short, you do not have to pay for
Genie+ or
Individual Lightning Lanes as most will also have a stand-by line you can walk up to. Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane Entry purchases will just give you the opportunity to experience more without waiting in long lines. That being said, there is one big exception that you will find over in EPCOT. If you wanted to experience
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, your two options, as of this writing, for this experience would be the Virtual Queue or purchasing Individual Lightning Lane Entry selections.
Virtual Queues can be accessed through your
My Disney Experience app on the day you plan to visit EPCOT. These windows to join the Virtual Queue open usually at 7:00 AM EST or 1:00 PM EST. Once you log in, you will select Virtual Queue from the home screen. You will then be prompted to select your group as you can make these selections for those in your party you are sharing plans with and have a valid ticket and theme park reservation. As long as you hit it right and there is availability, you should be given a number for your boarding group and an estimated time that you will report to the attraction for your experience time.
Individual Lightning Lane Purchases, can be made through your My Disney Experience app as well. At this time, there are 4 attractions, one in each park, that you have the option for this purchase. If you are staying onsite at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel or qualifying resort, you will be able to make these purchases starting at 7 AM EST. If you are staying offsite, they will be available when the park officially opens on the day of your visit.
Best of luck as you continue to plan for your upcoming visit in just a few short days! If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out and let us know, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
