We are from CT and want to have an idea of what to pack.. is it  too cold for swimming and/or the water parks?

Hi, Nicole!   I do not know your travel dates, but I can tell you that we have traveled to WDW in the middle of "winter" and have everything from high 70's to very cold!   Your best bet is to check with www.weather.com before you leave for your vacation to get a feel for the upcoming weather.   If it is sunny and over 65 degrees, I can guarantee my kids (we are from Cleveland and are used to wind chill temperatures in the winter!) will be hopping in the pool.  All pools on Disney property are outdoors, but heated.

However, once the sun goes down, it gets chilly!   So even if the days will be in the 60s and 70s, plan to have jackets for the evenings.   We usually wear mid-weight jackets on the airplane so we can just use those for the parks at nighttime and don't have to pack additional coats.

So plan to check the weather forecast and pack a little bit of everything!   Have a great vacation.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
