Hi Anna!
As the mom to a little one with multiple food allergies, I know it can be to accommodate
Special Diets on vacation. For quick service locations, I like to use the allergy-friendly menus to help guide me in my selections for my little one. I also speak You can also ask to speak to a Chef or manager to help you determine what you can safely order. Finally you can get ingredients listings at quick service locations, food carts and stands so you can check if favorites like Dole Whips and popcorn are safe!
I generally have an easier time accommodating my son's multiple food allergies at table service restaurants. You want to include the allergies in your dining reservation, either when you book your reservation or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. When you arrive at the restaurant, remind your server of the allergies and ask to speak to the Chef. The Chef will work with you and your kids to find a meal for each of them that is both safe and tasty! The best restaurants to accommodate your kids will depend on their specific combination of allergies. My family likes to enjoy "family style" meals, such as Garden Grill and 'Ohana, where my son simply can get a separate plate of safe food from the large family portions. We have also had wonderful experiences at Chef Mickey's and Kona Cafe. To get information about accommodating your family's specific allergies, I recommend that you contact the Special Diets Team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.
I am currently planning my family's first trip on Disney Cruise Line, so to get the best information about cruises I recommend that you contact our wonderful
Disney Cruise Line panelists for more specific information about sailing with food allergies. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
