Hi Emily. Thank you for bringing your question to us here at planDisney.
The Crystal Palace is such a great option for breakfast in
Magic Kingdom Park. The location at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. cannot be beaten. The building itself is magnificent. The all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet fills up your stomach and fuels you for a fun-filled day. And you don't have to wait in line to meet Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Instead, they come to you!
I'm happy to let you know that The Crystal Palace
is in fact continuing to offer breakfast reservations after May 5th. These reservations open up at 6:00 a.m. EST 60 days before the date you'd like to dine. However, since this is a very popular breakfast location, reservations are booked very quickly. I would recommend continuing to check back as your vacation gets closer because people may cancel and then those reservations are opened up for others to book. You also might want to consider booking a lunch or dinner reservation instead. I'm a big fan of taking a mid-day break by booking an advanced dining reservation for lunchtime so I can get some air conditioning, rest, and some delicious food.
If you have your heart set on breakfast in or around Magic Kingdom Park, there are some other amazing locations I can recommend.
Cinderella's Royal Table is a great way to meet the princesses, dine in a royal environment, and eat a delectable meal. And then there are the meals that can be easily accessed by hopping on the monorail! The character buffet at
Chef Mickey's at
Disney's Contemporary Resort is a classic way to meet Mickey and his friends. While not a character meal, the
Grand Floridian Cafe at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one of the most underrated restaurants at the resort...and I'm okay with that because you can usually get a reservation easily! Another underrated gem can be found at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and that's
Kona Cafe. Tonga Toast and Kona Coffee for breakfast? Yes, please! And don't forget the fan-favorite Ohana, which can be found at the same resort and
is a character meal.
Emily, no matter which restaurant you choose, you are bound to eat some great food and have a wonderfully immersive experience. Please feel free to
reach out again in the future should have any other questions.
Eat all the good stuff,
Matt
