    For Crystal Palace breakfast and Cape May Cafe dinner which are both buffets, what is the general rule for tipping since they are buffets? What is the general amount to tip at buffets?

    Hi there Nicholas,

    I generally tip at least 18% at all Disney dining locations, whether full service or buffet, provided that I receive great service...which I always do.  In many cases, the Disney buffet servers and attendants do just as much work as the full service waiters at Walt Disney World, so I take that into consideration when leaving gratuity!  If my drink is promptly refilled and my soiled dishes promptly removed, I definitely tip 18%.

    All of that said, tipping is totally up your discretion, and your tip should be based upon the quality of the service you receive. That is the rule of thumb I live by at any restaurant!
