Hello there, Lisa! Welcome to planDisney. Thank you for visiting us with your question.
It sounds like you are in the midst of getting your transportation plans into place for your Disney Cruise Line adventure. I'd love to help your plans get into shipshape by letting you know what options you have when it comes to Disney Cruise Line
ground transportation. If you will be sailing from
Port Canaveral, you can arrange for ground transportation from a Walt Disney World Resort to the port, or from the Orlando International Airport to the port. Disney Cruise Line does not arrange transportation from Disney Springs.
I have traveled to Port Canaveral in a rental car and on a Disney Cruise Line bus, and I much prefer to leave the driving to Disney. If you have any additional questions about adding a ground transfer, please
call Disney Cruise Line and they will be happy to assist you, or provide recommendations for transportation depending on where you will be staying before your cruise.
If you do choose to reserve a ground transfer, you can expect to receive an email with details about your pick-up time and location within a few days of your sailing date. Once you arrive at the port, you will be directed to show your port arrival form and travel documentation before boarding the ship. Please be sure to keep your passport with you in your day bag that you will carry onto the ship as well as any valuables and medications.
Once you are on the ship you will be able to enjoy a delicious lunch and begin your amazing voyage! As soon as you finish lunch, it's a great idea to scroll through the daily activity schedule within the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to see what interests you. If you click the heart icon next to the activity listing, the app can send you a notification reminder when it's time for the fun to begin.
Have an amazing holiday! Please sail back to us with any further questions. My pals and I would love to help.
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
