Cruising soon on the new Disney Dream!!! I was wondering if the Flying Dutchmen pirate ship will be appearing at Castaway Cay in promotion with the upcoming release of the 4th Pirates movie? Our family would love to catch a glimpse of it!!! Thanks :)

    Hi, Faye!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the Disney Dream -- you're going to feel like you're living a dream when you sail!

The Flying Dutchman is no longer docked at Castaway Cay. It was a great movie prop for several years which provided a backdrop for some awesome photos at Disney's private island.  However, because it was exposed to life at sea and was not originally built to withstand prolonged exposure, it began to suffer the effects and was disassembled.

You can bet there is no shortage of piratical life when sailing IN the Caribbean with Disney Cruise Line.  You probably already know about the pirate's deck party where characters, cast, crew and many guests don full pirate regalia. Plus, there are pirate sightings abound...including the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee! And if you happen to be sailing when the movie has been released, you'll be able to see at sea what your friends and neighbors can ashore. How's that for a pirate's life?

I hope you have a wonderful day and a magical vacation.  Arrrrggghhh and bon voyage!
