Welcome aboard, Tara!
So awesome to hear that your family will be cruising very soon with Captain Mickey! Vacations go by so quickly, don't they? You absolutely must make time to bond with your hubby. Sailing with Disney Cruise will allow you to have date night - every night! I've never felt so comfortable leaving my little ones... that it made me actually enjoy date night (or some spa time) even more!
Vacationing Parents have loads of fun onboard the Disney Cruise.
Your little ones will need to go into the Nursery and the Oceaneer Club separately due to their ages. The Youth Clubs are organized well and the counselors are awesome. They'll keep each age group pretty active and engaged - your kids likely won't even miss each other. There will be way too much activities going on, you might actually have a tough time peeling them out of there.
Just remember to make Nursery reservations for your 2.5 year old. There is an additional cost, but very reasonable. I would suggest the evenings -- for dinner or after-dinner bonding time with your husband. It's better to make the reservations and hold a spot early, since you can always make cancelations & changes at a later time. Your 4.5 year old will be kept busy at the Oceaneer Club, and can spend as much time in there... no limits, no reservations needed.
Take the time to check out the
Adult Clubs and Lounges on board. If you can, Palo or Remy would be a wonderful addition to your plans for a 'special night'. Have a great time on your voyage, Tara. Warm weather will be waiting for you and your family to enjoy.
