Ahoy Melaney –
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your excellent question! I am so happy to see that you will be sailing on the Wonder. As a Texan myself, I am constantly awed to see that beautiful ship docked in Galveston, and my pirate crew always has a great time onboard. Your crew will enjoy exquisite dining in the restaurants, first run movies in the Buena Vista Theatre, luxurious staterooms and unparalleled service with Disney Cruise Line. When dining onboard, your pirate crew will experience the same “Disney Difference” on the ship as they did at Walt Disney World. Disney Cruise Line takes great care to offer pirate guests with food allergies plenty of meals and options to accommodate their particular need. The first step is to notify Disney of the particular allergy prior to the cruise. For allergies that are not life-threatening, you can simply call Disney Cruise Line at
(800) 951-3532. For severe and dangerous allergies, please contact
Special Services at
(407) 566-3602 Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Eastern. At your first meal, notify your head server of the food allergy to get acquainted with the menu. Since your young sea pup will be in the Youth Clubs, her Magic Band will also get a special red tag on it to notify youth counselors of her allergies, so you can feel safe to leave her in their care for meals too. I have a milk (dairy) allergy as well, and I enjoyed wonderful cuisine that was safe for me to eat. Most of the menus are clearly marked with allergy components so I could make appropriate choices. In addition, the chef would often come out and present different food options to me and even custom made a few dishes just for me! Melaney, I am sure your pirate fairy will have a fun and safe cruise on the Wonder next year, but if you have more concerns, please come see us here again.
