Hello, Suzanne!
Thank you for reaching out to planDisney again. I bet your family is getting excited about your upcoming Disney Cruise!
You are certainly jumping right back into reality after your vacation! Hopefully, the feelings of peace and joy from your cruise will carry over to your work day. The Express Walk Off option is perfect for Guests who want to handle their own luggage and disembark from their ship fairly early. Guests using Express Walk Off can often disembark between 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in my experience. However, the exact disembarkation time depends on when the ship is given the "all clear" from the Port Authority. After leaving the ship (which is always so sad!), you will need to take your luggage and pass through the U.S. Customs booth before heading to your car.
As another note of reference to assist with your planning, Disney Cruise Line recommends that Guests flying out of
George Bush Intercontinental Airport in 2025 schedule flights no earlier than 1:30 p.m. (which would translate to arriving at the airport around 11:30 a.m.). With this timing in mind, you may make it to your meeting, depending on when you can clear
Customs and where the meeting is taking place in Houston.
I recommend being ready to leave the ship by 7:30 a.m., which includes eating breakfast beforehand. You don't want to start your work day feeling hungry!
Cabanas is often open for breakfast around 6:30 a.m. (subject to change), or you can have
Room Service delivered to your stateroom the night before you disembark and eat your food the next morning from the comfort of your stateroom. Room Service is generally available until 1:30 a.m. (subject to change) on the last day of your cruise. Just check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for up-to-date times and information about Disembarkation Day.
Suzanne, have the most wonderful cruise! Don't forget to take advantage of the
Disney Cruise Line Onboard-Only Offer while on your voyage, which will let you apply a discount on a select future cruise!
Happy sailing!
Jen
