We are cruising out of Galveston in February. I am interested in using DCL transportation from IAH to the port. I am planning on staying at the IAH Marriott the night before. Is that hotel a Disney host hotel like the Hyatt at MCO?

    Hello, Randi!

Welcome to planDisney. Cruising out of Galveston sounds like the ideal vacation in the middle of winter! By February, I am always ready for a fun trip!

The list of pre- and post-cruise hotels for sailing on a Disney Cruise out of Galveston can be found on the Galveston port page. I have good news! The Houston Airport Marriott at George Bush Intercontinental is listed on that page. My kids love staying at airport hotels! Not only does it simply the transportation process, but it is also so fun to stay at the airport. I recommend booking your stay through Disney Cruise Line, especially if you plan to utilize Disney Cruise Line transportation. Ground transfers are available for Guests who book their hotel stay through Disney Cruise Line. Just call the Disney Cruise Line to speak with a friendly Cast Member who can discuss your hotel and transportation options.

Have you decided on any Port Adventures or Onboard Activities yet? Both can be reserved during your booking window (which varies depending on the number of sailings you have completed in the past). I usually make a list of my top 2-3 activities each day of our voyage in case my first choice is unavailable. My family usually enjoys activities where we can play at the beach and go on an adventure. Descriptions of most Port Adventures can be found on the Port Adventures page.

Randi, have a magical cruise filled with laughter and joy! Please reach out to planDisney again if you have other questions!

    Happy sailing!
