We are cruising in Feb on the Dream with our 2 yr. old and 6 yr. old boys. We want the boys to be able to see Andy's room in the kids club, but don't want to leave the boys there. Are parents allowed to stay with their children in the club?

    Hi, Dana!

You must be getting so incredibly excited about your upcoming cruise aboard Disney's Dream! I can't wait to see Andy's Room...so I know your boys want to see it, too!

The Oceaneer's Club was designed with children ages 3-10 in mind, and all of the play areas are grand and whimsical. When you board the ship, you will be allowed to explore the area with your children at an Open House just before sailing time. This is when final preparations are made for the appropriately-aged children to be registered for the Oceaneer's Club and Oceaneer's Lab. From that point on, you will see parents coming and going as they pick up their children. However, the counselor's encourage parents to allow the children to play independently. The cost of the Oceaneer's Club and Lab are included in the price of your 6-year-old's fare.

I, too, didn't want to leave my children at first.  However, they all begged us once they discovered all there was to do and see in the Youth Clubs. Plus, I felt comfortable with the strict security system and the ratio of counselors to children. My children were safe and having the time of their lives, and my husband and I could spend quality time alone. It truly is the best of both worlds vacationing as a family on Disney Cruise Line.

For your 2-year-old son, It's a Small World Nursery is available for an added fee, and reservations can be made on line or on board. You can also visit this area during the Open House time just prior to sailing.

Hopefully, I have helped you plan and relieved your concerns. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
