I am cruising on the Fantasy 5/20-24. We are staying at a Disney resort on 5/19 and 5/24-27. Will I be able to book lightening lanes 7 days prior to the 19th for both stays since I am cruising with Disney? Or wait until 7 days prior to the 24th?

    Ahoy Brianne!

Welcome to planDisney. I see you and your mateys will soon be sailing the seas on the Fantasy. My crew and I will be sailing on the Wish around that time as well and will be staying at The Most Magical Place on Earth prior to our embarkation. So let’s not let your question end up in Dave Jones locker and help you get back to your planning.

Guests staying at a Disney Resort Hotel or other select hotels can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass / Single Passes up to 7 days in advance, starting at 7 AM EST. Since you will have a split stay, you will book them separately based on each one’s arrival date. Based on your arrival date of May 19th, you can begin booking on Tuesday, May 12th. Your second arrival date, May 24th, means you can begin booking on Sunday, May 17th. I always recommend booking rides as early in the day as possible to maximize your time. If you do not get the time for an experience you would like, keep checking back and modify your time if a better time becomes available. Quite frequently, guests’ plans change, and you can get their time slot once it becomes available.

My favorite tip for using Lightning Lane Multi Pass is to remember that once you scan into your ride, you can book another pass while you wait in line. I would also monitor the My Disney Experience app for any rides that do not show a time slot you prefer. Guests frequently cancel their reservations, and you can then get their time slot.

Brianne, I hope this helps and that you, merry band of pirates, have a magical time visiting Walt Disney World after your cruise. If you have any further questions, especially pertaining to Disney’s Cruise Line, then drop a fish line to my friends Rana and Catherine, and they will be happy to assist you.

    See ya real soon,
    Robert
