Cruising on the Fantasy in November 2023 and we are researching port excursions. Out of Cozumel, Falmouth, and Grand Cayman which would be the best choice to not book an excursion but instead walk around and explore, shop, and eat? Thanks.

    Hi Laura,

Welcome back to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question about your upcoming cruise on probably my favourite Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Fantasy

We’ve visited all 3 of those ports and I can truly say, without hesitation, that Grand Cayman would be your best bet for walking around the port area. Although both Cozumel and Falmouth do offer some options right at the port, there are a ton of shops and restaurants on the streets right around the cruise port in Grand Cayman (Harbour Drive and Church Street.) Plus, I found it to be probably the cleanest and most inviting of the 3 options that you mentioned.

If you’re looking for an excursion recommendation in Cozumel, we are planning to do the Fury Catamaran Sail Snorkel and Beach Party again this summer when we visit that port. It was a fun morning activity, which allowed us to snorkel, enjoy a beach break and then enjoy a catamaran ride back to the ship. I highly recommend it!

As always, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
