I am cruising on the Fantasy from Dec. 15-22, 2012. I want to add a couple days at WDW to the trip since I've never been there during Christmas. Should go to the parks before or after my cruise? Also will there be any holiday activities on the cruise?

    Hi Stacie!

I've sailed on the Disney Fantasy and it's magnificent!  I can only imagine what it's going to be like during the holidays...I'm a bit jealous:)

Typically on holiday cruises, there is a tree lighting ceremony at the start of your sailing.  Characters have been dressed in their holiday attire and have been available for family portraits.  Carolling and holiday music along with holiday activities such as pool parties and arts and crafts are usually added to the festivities as well.  Of course, these are only a few of the special holiday themed events that are usually scheduled.  Who know what kind of surprises Disney Cruise Line is cooking up for the Fantasy this holiday season!

I love the fact that you're planning a few days in Walt Disney World.  The parks are full from Thanksgiving through New Year's, with Christmas through New Year's being the worst in regard to crowds.  If this was my trip, I would definitely go to the parks before the sailing.

I hope this helps Stacie.  Have a magical sailing and please let me know if there is anything else I can answer for you.  Bon voyage!
