Hi there, Kelsey!
Oh boy, a Disney Cruise with extended family is so much fun. There really is
something for everyone on board to enjoy. Everyone can go at their own pace and you can be as structured or as flexible as you'd like!
When it comes to
children going ashore, there are a few important things to know. You may allow your children to disembark with the adults in your travel party who are not in your immediate stateroom by completing the “Traveling with Minors” section of My Online Check-In. You will be able to grant them permission to disembark the ship with the specified adults in your travel party. Alternatively, you may sign a Debarkation Authorization for Minors Form at the Guest Service Desk, once you are onboard the ship. It's also important to note that if your children wish to participate in
Port Adventures, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
As you prepare for your sailing, I encourage everyone in your travel party with a smartphone to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. The app will guide you to all of the fun and excitement happening on board, but it will also provide a way for you all to communicate with one another. If you end up doing your own separate things, you can send a message in the app to reunite again. I find that a great meeting place is by the soft-serve ice cream onboard. Ice cream breaks are usually a hit for all ages!
I'm wishing you wonderful memories as you sail with your family. Please visit planDisney again if you have more questions. It's a pleasure to assist you!
