I will be cruising on the Dream in October and the Wonder next March. Can Disney Dollars be used on the ship? I was going to use them for kids FE gifts for room service tips and movie treats. Thanks for your help.

    Ahoy, Barbara!
Wow - two Disney cruises to look forward to - what fun! There's nothing better to remedy the "cruise blues" when a vacation ends than having another one scheduled. You've got the right idea!

Disney Dollars are so much fun, and my kids love to earn and spend them in the Disney Parks. On a Disney Cruise, you'll be on a cashless system - all of your onboard purchases will be applied to your Key to the World Card, which is linked to your credit card. Disney Dollars can be presented at Guest Services and added to your shipboard account, but unfortunately they can't be used on their own in the merchandise shops on the ship.

I'm not certain how difficult it is for cast members to exchange Disney Dollars for cash. Technically, they're designed to make Disney merchandise purchases, so you may want to check with Guest Services before using Disney Dollars for tips.

Hope this information helps with your planning. I know you can't wait until October! Please come back and visit if you have any more questions, I'm happy to help. - Diane W.
