We will be cruising on the Dream May 1st and wanted to get a cabana for Castaway Cay, but were sold out, as soon as we were able to check. Any chance they become available before we cruise?

    Hi Therese,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your high seas adventure on the Disney Dream is only a few months away. A Disney cruise is already a DREAM come true, but all the more so when traveling to my favorite island paradise in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay.

The cabanas are THE hot ticket on Castaway Cay! Disney Cruise Line’s private island boasts 20 Family Cabanas and 4 cabanas on the adults exclusive Serenity Bay. Depending on the ship, itinerary, and the time of year, these cabanas book up in a flash! Having enjoyed a Family Cabana with girlfriends, I must say it won me over as the best way to chill out on Castaway Cay, especially with hammock, floats, and tubes at our disposal.

Priority for booking cabanas is given first to Concierge guests, then open for booking at different stages for Castaway Club levels Platinum, Gold, and Silver, and finally first time cruisers. Unlike other onboard activities and Port Adventures, it’s pretty rare for cabanas to become available. But you should definitely check for availability since guests have until 3 days prior to sailing to cancel. Or check with Guest Services once onboard to put your name on a waiting list.

Let me recommend another favorite relaxation spot: the Rainforest Room in the Senses Spa and Salon. This adults-only area offers sauna, aromatherapy showers, and heated tile loungers. It’s a magical oasis to unwind and rest during the hustle and bustle of a busy cruise itinerary.

Sail back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel for more help as you chart your vacation course. Sending you pixie dust that you can book a cabana for your upcoming DREAMy sailing!

    Bon Voyage!
