Cruising on Dream June 2014 w/ 4 little ones flying in the day before. What are our options/how does it work if we use Disney Transportation in regards to Disney resort hotel, MCO hotel and hotel near port? How does each option affect our luggage. Thank

Welcome back, April! Well, it's down to just one month until your magical sailing, can you believe it?

Disney Cruise Line offers ground transportation for guests between the Orlando airport and Port Canaveral as well as between the Walt Disney World resorts and Port Canaveral, but is not available for other hotels.

If you opt to say at the airport hotel, since you're flying in the day before, you'll arrive at the airport and collect your own luggage before heading to your room. The next morning, simply bring your luggage to the Magical Express desk in the airport to check in, where they will take your bags, check you in for the cruise and you will board the Disney Cruise Line motorcoach to the port. Your bags will meet you in your stateroom onboard.

If you decide to stay at one of the Walt Disney World Resorts, the complimentary Magical Express will pick you up at the airport and deliver you to your resort where you'll meet your bags. You'll receive a note or call in your room the night before you set sail letting you know when and where to have your bags and where to meet for the Disney Cruise Line motorcoach the next morning. Your bags will then meet you in your stateroom onboard.

While the Magical Express between the airport and resorts is a complimentary service for resort guests, there is an additional fee of about $35 per person each way for Disney Cruise Line's ground transportation. That being said, it is well worth the cost, as Disney takes care of all of the details for you and makes your transition from land to sea and back again very seamless and stress-free.

I hope that helps in your decision, April! I'd opt to take Disney's transportation both ways and stay either at a resort or the airport, making travel so much easier! Have a great cruise!
