Hi Amy,
I am thrilled you cruised back by with another Disney Cruise Line question! Looks like your plans for your Disney Dream sailing are coming together quite nicely. Nassau is calling and you must go!
Getting those Port Adventures all locked down is one of my prime objectives when planning for our Disney cruise. Maybe it’s because I know just how memorable they have been for us in the past, but I breathe a huge sigh of relief when I have them all decided. Then I can move to the fun anticipation stage as I watch the countdown calendar move to zero!
When I did a search of the
Bahamian Port Adventures, I did not see Balmoral Island as an option. Since appears that the Balmoral Island Beach Day is not an offering anymore, I'd suggest trying either the
Blue Lagoon Island Beach Day or its
half day equivalent.
Blue Lagoon is its own island oasis, so it requires a ferry ride to get there. But what awaits is crystal blue waters, white sandy beaches, and lots of activities (or none at all if you prefer). Youth activities run throughout the day, so you all may be surprised how quickly the day goes by.
However, I SEA from one of your previous questions that you may have already experienced Blue Lagoon and are interested in a new destination. If so, two Port Adventures that jump right off the screen to me are the
Catamaran Sail and Reef Snorkeling and the
Graycliff Chocolatier - The Art of Chocolate Making and Factory Tour. Hey, everything's better with chocolate!
Here's another wild thought: Nassau is easily accessed from the port and can be toured at your leisure without planning any Port Adventures. Then you decide when you’ve had your fill and return to the ship when you please. Or you could simply opt to stay on the ship and enjoy all the amenities while other guests are ashore.
Amy, please drop back by with any future questions. We're here to help make planning for your Disney Cruise a smooth sailing experience!
Have a DREAMy vacation!
Sherry
