Cruising on the Dream April 2013 4nite, my son will be 11 then. Does the Edge club counselors do group activities to get kids interacting with each other? My son is shy and I dont want him sitting on a pc by himself when in the club the entire time.

    Hello Anita,

I understand your concern completely.  I did have similar concerns when it came to my children and the youth clubs.  I was worried that they weren't going to have any fun, that they were going to be left to their own devices, and that they would also be sitting in front of a computer all day long.

I can guarantee you that the counselors are very well trained, and do have a talent for getting the kids to mingle through their group activities.  On my family's last Disney Cruise, my daughter was 13 and in her youth club without her brother or a friend.  By the second afternoon onboard, I ran into her and three of her new friends at Guest Services asking for help for their scavenger hunt.  I got a "HI MOM!" and she took off again....I had to get the scavenger hunt information from the Castmember who helped them at Guest Services!    Your son is going to have a wonderful time...you'll see!

Please let me know if you have any other questions.  I'm happy to help.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel, and have a wonderful trip Anita!
