We are cruising with DCL January 2024 and have a question about getting to and from the excursion from the ship docked in Progresso. Are we picked up in front of the ship or do we need to walk down to the end to the pier.? Thanks!

Hi there, Deborah! Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question. Welcome!

Oh, how exciting that you'll be ringing in the new year with some time aboard Disney Cruise Line. January is a fun time to sail! I'd be happy to help you as you prepare for your time at sea. If you've booked a Port Adventure through Disney Cruise Line for your day in Progreso, you will meet at a designated place and time onboard the ship. You will then disembark as a group and walk a short distance to your awaiting transportation.

My fellow panelist, Amy, recently sailed to this port and confirmed that while Progreso boasts the world's longest pier, the ship docks and is situated in a way that you will only experience a short walk to a shop, various forms of transportation, and the busses utilized for Port Adventures. I'm grateful for her firsthand experience, and hope that it puts you at ease as you prepare for your upcoming adventure!

Deborah, as you prepare for your Disney Cruise, I encourage you to download (or update) the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. This app will be your guide throughout your voyage. Here you will find your assigned dining rotation with table number, deck plans, Daily Activity Schedule, and more. It will also provide details about when and where to meet for your Port Adventure that you have planned.

Have an incredible sailing! Please visit planDisney again if you have further questions. We work as a team to help however we can!

    Happy Planning,

    Adrianna
