Hi there, Amanda!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Can you believe your Disney Cruise Line vacation is just around the corner?!?! I am so excited for you and your “double dip to Castaway Cay” itinerary! That is definitely on my bucket list to do get checked off one of these days!
I am so glad you sailed by with your great question about traveling with
medical equipment onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship. Just this past March, my parents sailed with us and my stepdad uses a CPAP device, so I knew exactly who to confirm information with when I saw your question! The device does not need to be marked with a medical tag nor do you need a doctor’s note, but I do recommend carrying it onboard with you in your carry-on bag. I always recommend that this be done for any sort of medical device and/or important medications. While I have never experienced a misplaced piece of luggage, you certainly do not want to worry about such an important piece of equipment, so keeping it with you is the best idea! If you are in need of distilled water for your machine, I recommend that you contact Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 so they can note your reservation and also discuss it with your stateroom host or hostess and they can make sure you have what you need while onboard.
Have you already planned your TWO days at
Disney’s Private Island?!?! If not, my recommendation is to definitely participate in the Castaway Cay 5K – run or walk it, either way it’s SO MUCH FUN!! Then spend the day relaxing on the beach! Definitely take advantage of the float rentals for pure relaxation! Or maybe even book a beach-side
Senses Spa massage?!?! Oh, boy, with two days, you can do it all! Yep…a double dip to Castaway Cay is definitely moving its way up on my bucket list!
Have just the best time and enjoy every bit of it! Have an extra-large chocolate chip cookie at Cookie’s BBQ for me!
Happy Sailing
Stephanie
