We will be cruising in a couple of weeks on the Dream. We have "wet" excursion planned Castaway Cay. Do we need to talk towels with us? Are our stateroom keys waterproof or should I purchase a waterproof container to wear while in the water?

    Hi, Dawn!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise on the beautiful Disney Dream! More than likely, you will be given towels -- either hung neatly in a mesh bag in your stateroom the night before you dock at Castaway Cay or as you exit the ship given to you by crew members.  Key to the World Cards are water resistant -- much like a credit card.  However, as a mother, I'm very reluctant to call "absolutes" on anything such as terms like waterproof, shatterproof, tamperproof, etc.  (I have four children and have been around the block more than a few times.) Therefore, I would bring a bag for your belongings and keep your stateroom key and any other valuables with you as you tour the island. There are usually secure areas to store your bags or where you can keep them in view.

I hope that helps you plan and gets you even more excited about your upcoming cruise. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
