Hi! We’ll be cruising to Alaska at the end of June. I am not really sure how to pack for this cruise. I know that jeans, winter shoes and a light weight waterproof jacket are a must (especially in the ports). What I’m not sure about is what does everyone w

    Hi Kelli,

Alaskan cruises are so beautiful!  Make sure you have a lot of memory cards for your camera.  In the summer, temperatures in Alaska range from 60 to 80 degrees.  Evenings and mornings are cooler, ranging between the 40s and 50s.

Packing for Alaska can be tricky.  To be comfortable you'll need to dress in layers.  The day will start out chilly and warm up considerably.  For Port Adventures you'll need comfortable shoes for walking, if you are hiking; boots.  Make sure that you pack a rain jacket or umbrella because it can rain at any time.   Your pools will be heated so take your bathing suit with you.  Remember, dress code is mostly cruise casual unless it's formal night or you are dining at the adults only restaurant, Palo.

I hope this helps Kelli.  I'm wishing you a magical sailing.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!
