Hi Cynthia!
So happy to have you onboard here at planDisney! The same goes for Disney Cruise Line, where everyone is welcome, whether traveling solo or part of a group.
I’d be happy to give you some suggestions to optimize your solo adventure at sea with Captain Mickey! Good news as far as
rotational dining: a solo traveler will have their very own table. For now, Guests are grouped as one travel party per table per safety protocols. Hey, what that probably means is that you will get to interact even more with your dining room servers! They are so wonderful about making everyone feel welcome and so attentive to all your needs, so I imagine they will make you feel right at home.
The beauty of traveling solo is that you can choose exactly the activities and entertainment you want...no need to fit into group plans or follow the lead of anyone else! It’s actually quite liberating to have that much control over your selections. I would make sure you treat yourself to whatever experience really wows you. Whether it would be a spa treatment in
Senses Spa and Salon, dinner in the adult-exclusive
Palo, or the
Beverage Tastings offered in the lounges, there’s truly something for everyone!
Some of my favorite experiences that lend themselves to solo travelers include Bingo, where everyone gets swept away by the fun that the Entertainment Directors infuse into this game; the Anyone Can Cook demonstrations where you can learn a recipe from a Disney Cruise Line chef and sample the results; and the Art of the Theme Ship tour, acclimating Guests to aspects of the ship and filling you in on some fascinating facts. You’ll find the daily schedule of activities and entertainment at your fingertips on your smartphone using the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention
Satellite Falls, which is my absolute favorite spot on the ship. It has a SUNsational sundeck for lounging and a wading pool with a cascading shower for chilling. Finally, the
lounges and nightclubs on the Disney Dream host dancing, comedy acts, and fun competitions into the wee hours.
Wow, you might need a vacation from your vacation if you accomplish all that during your cruise! Cynthia, if i can answer anything else, please pop back by planDIsney before you set sail. If you are all good, then all that remains is for me to wish you bon voyage!
Sherry
