Hi there, Marysia! Welcome to planDisney!
I love your question because it highlights one of my favorite things about Disney Cruise Line, which is guest inclusivity! We’re also a HUGE Disney Descendants-loving family! Disney Cruise Line does an excellent job of making all guests feel welcome and comfortable. That includes guests with sensitivities, from hearing to food, and I would love to share them with you!
While there isn’t a cruise itinerary or sailing period specifically dedicated to guests with noise sensitivities, there are
services offered for guests who may need hearing services and/or have noise sensitivities. After booking your Disney cruise, you can indicate the type of hearing services that should be offered for the guest in the “Special Requests” section in your reservation, either in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or on the Disney Cruise Line website. There is a section indicating “Hearing Services” here. If you don't find what you're looking for in this section, you can also
contact the Disney Cruise Line Special Services team.
Regarding a gluten-free diet on board, Disney Cruise Line also does an excellent job of
catering to guests with a dietary restriction, which I know from personal experience, having a dietary restriction of my own. To indicate a gluten-free diet on board, you would also indicate this in the “Special Services” section. After clicking “Dietary Preferences” here, you would indicate “No Gluten/Wheat”. I'm happy to report that there are many gluten-free dining options offered!
I advise
calling Disney Cruise Line and speaking with a Cast Member before your cruise to ensure that all notations have been made regarding the noise sensitivity and gluten-free diet. Once on board, I also recommend speaking with Guest Services, as they can tell you which events in the Daily Plans schedule of the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App might be better suited for noise sensitivities.
As for any Disney Descendants-themed cruises or events on board, there aren’t any dedicated events or themed cruises yet. That doesn’t mean that there never will be, as offerings are always subject to change (and this Disney Descendants-loving Mama is looking out as well!). However, my kids have said that they have watched some of the movies and listened to the soundtracks in the
Youth Clubs on board, which has been so exciting for them!
Marysia, I hope I offered clarification. I wish you many magical memories ahead! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any more questions.
Seas the Adventure,
Rana
