Well hey there, David! Welcome to planDisney! I am so glad you stopped by with this great question!
My husband’s and my first Disney Cruise was out of
San Diego and we had an absolute blast! We are originally from California, so the ease of getting to the ship without long air travel was so nice! With a few exceptions, sailings from San Diego typically visit
Baja Mexico and the Mexican Riviera. I have been to most of those ports and can promise you that a good time is waiting for you!
I love the search feature on the
Disney Cruise Line website. It is easy and quick to narrow down the cruises that match your needs! Simply head to the website and look just below the main header at the top of the page. You will see a section that says Explore Destinations. From there you can narrow it down by departure month, destination, or departure port. If you are not sure when you want to sail, I suggest heading straight to the “Departing From” box. When you click on it, you will see a dropdown of all departure ports and you can select San Diego. There are currently 77 sailings showing from now until May 2027. You can choose from three, four, five, six, and even fourteen night sailings! Talk about options to keep your adventure afloat.
I hope this helps you chart your course to find your perfect Disney Cruise Line sailing! If you have any more questions as you continue to plan, cruise back by. We are always here to help keep your planning sailing on smooth seas!
Happy sailing!
Kimberly
