For cruises that disembark in Europe, okay to bring a European plug adaptor power strip for use in Europe after disembarking?

    Hi there, Kelley!

Oh boy! My family and I disembarked from the Disney Fantasy only a few months ago. We had a marvelous time. I'm excited for you as you count down the days before your transatlantic Disney cruise vacation on the Fantasy heading toward Barcelona and more adventures in Europe.

I'm glad you are ensuring your boarding and cruising experience are as smooth as possible, including checking the list of prohibited items. Power strips, extension cords, and surge protectors may not be taken on a Disney Cruise Line ship. If you have a power adapter that isn't part of an extension cord or power strip, that should be fine. We have also been permitted to carry on our multi-port USB chargers as well.

Tony's Tip: Some appliances, such as fans and white noise generators, require inspection by the ship's Chief Electrical Engineer. If you have an item that may require inspection, I recommend taking it on board with your carry-on luggage to request that it be submitted for inspection as you proceed through security screening. If it is left in your checked bags instead, the additional screening of your luggage to have potentially hazardous items confiscated and inspected may result in your luggage being delayed before it can be delivered to your stateroom. When I carried a portable humidifier on board a Disney cruise, it was collected during our security screening for inspection. We proceeded to board smoothly and enjoyed the ship while the item was inspected along with items from other Guests. After it was deemed a safe appliance by the Chief Electrical Engineer, we were able to pick it up from the Guest Services Desk later on.

I love the longer Disney Cruise Line itineraries like your transatlantic cruise. Are you already a Gold or higher Castaway Club member, Kelley? If so, be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the exclusive private reception offered to Gold, Platinum, and Pearl Castaway Club members on 8-night and longer voyages. Those receptions have been the highlight of our longer sailings. They usually include unique presentations and surprises that will make you feel greatly valued as a Castaway Club member. Trust me, if you are eligible for one of those receptions, you don't want to miss it!

Have a magical time aboard the Disney Fantasy, Kelley. Please let us know if you have any more questions as you count down the last few days before your cruise.
