We cruised on Disney Fantasy, May 2022 and will cruise on Disney Wish, May 2023. Our dining room sever on the Fantasy was exceptional and he said he was moving to the Wish. Is there a way we can request him as our sever again if he is on board?

    Hi Susan,

I’m so excited to hear you’re looking ahead to another Disney Cruise Line vacation, and aboard the new Disney Wish! I agree that the dining teams in the main dining rooms are top notch. Their personal touches and connections during their time with Guests make the experience very special. I’m happy to help you make this request in hopes you can be with your beloved team again from last year aboard the Disney Fantasy.

The Disney Cruise Line website recently added the ability to add Special Requests within your reservation, but I checked today for you and I don’t see a Notes field where a specific server can be requested. Not to worry, we’ll set course for a different horizon!

The best way to put in your specific request is to please call Disney Cruise Line, and a friendly Crew Member can add this to your notes. Please be sure to give them the name of your Server and/or Assistant Server and where they are from. While this detail isn’t required, it will help the dining team to try and make the best match for you.

I’m a chronic double-checker so I also advise that you confirm (or repeat) this request once onboard. I’ve had success changing our dining requests on Embarkation Day on several cruises. In the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, there will be a location listed for any dining needs that day. You can meet at the designated time and the leaders of the dining team will be making notes to ensure your dining set up meets as many of your requests as possible. The app also has an excellent Guest Services chat feature, and you can make this request that way if you prefer to save time from physically visiting the designated location. I’ve had success with both methods, and I hope you do too!

While Disney will do its best to honor your request, please know that nothing is guaranteed, and I do hope you’re able to connect with your former Server onboard. Enjoy the incredible dining experiences aboard the Disney Wish!

Please let us know if you have any more questions as you finalize your cruise details.

    Bon voyage,
    Amy
