We have cruised with Disney before (family of 5) but now have a 2 year old (family of 6). Are we able to book a stateroom to accommodate 5 then add a pack-n-play? Or will we be obligated to book a 2nd room? It'd be close quarters, but we only sleep in

    Welcome Aboard, Alison!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, I'm happy to help!

On a Disney Cruise, every guest will be counted as an individual on a stateroom reservation. (Even the littlest cruisers - age 0 and up!) The maximum occupancy of most standard staterooms is limited to five guests, so even if you wanted to squeeze everyone into one room, it would not be allowed. For larger parties, there are two options: upgrade to a suite, or book two staterooms.

Disney Cruise Line ships were built for families, so there are numerous connecting rooms available on each ship. With two staterooms, you get the added benefit of having two sets of bathrooms, which can come in handy with a large family like yours! Connecting staterooms with verandahs can even have the partition taken down between the two outdoor spaces to make one large outdoor area.

I hope you'll be able to find the perfect solution that fits best with your family, and you'll soon be sailing the high seas with Captain Mickey and his crew! - Diane W.
