Hello, Valerie! Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question.
A Disney Cruise Line vacation is a fantastic way to kick off 2024! While Disney Cruise Line Port Adventures are a convenient way to experience a new place, I can appreciate, as an experienced cruiser, wanting to explore on your own.
When your ship receives the all-clear, the captain will announce that
Guests may begin disembarking and make their way ashore. Check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to see which gangways are open and the all-ashore time. Guests traveling on Disney Port Adventures usually use the forward gangway. If you can, use the midship or aft gangway to avoid some of the crowds. Taking the stairs down is sometimes easier than waiting for an elevator. As for lines, they usually move quickly. When going ashore, each adult must carry a photo ID, and every Guest will have their Key to the World Card scanned upon disembarking and returning to the ship.
I hope you have fun exploring
Cozumel! Whether you’re seeking a quiet beach getaway, a splash with dolphins, or wish to wander about, there is something for everyone. Just ensure your adventure wraps up by the all-aboard time because Captain Mickey will not wait for late Guests.
Valerie, I know you'll make incredible memories both in port and at sea. My favorite place to be during a sea day is at
Palo, enjoying their delicious brunch and the sweeping ocean views. On my last sailing, I fell in love with the warm toasted almond croissant dusted with powdered sugar. It was a delightful way to start brunch. I hope you have an afternoon planned in this adult-exclusive restaurant.
Please drop us a line if you think of any more questions. We would love to help you make the most of your Disney Cruise Line vacation.
SEAS the adventure!
