Hi Amanda -
Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel. Sailing on the Disney Cruise will be a notch higher than the rest of course! :-)
I am glad that you will have the opportunity to try out the Disney Cruise... now you can compare the other brands yourself and see how you and your family enjoy Disney, compared to the rest. Dining with Captain Mickey does include all the main dining experiences in the
main restaurants included in the cost of your cruise. You will actually be assigned a dining rotation and the time of your dining. There are 2 schedules for dining - the early dining (5:45 pm) and the 2nd seating (8:15pm). You will get a chance to check out all the main dining restaurants throughout your cruise. You will also be assigned a specific dining team (head, main and assistant server), and they will be following you and your family on your dining room rotations. Meals that are also included in your cruise, are all you care to eat at the casual dining spots & buffets on deck as well as 24 hour room service.
Depending on what time your dinner rotation will be (1st or 2nd seating), then you will either watch the 1st or 2nd showing of the evening shows. These Broadway style shows are a must see, so try not to miss any of them! There is a Dress Up night on your cruise - similar to Captain's Night on other brands. You can definitely glam it up that night and take lots of pictures.
If you get a chance, try to check out the
Adult Exclusive dining restaurants too (Palo or Remy). These are available at an extra cost and require reservations. But these are awesome gastronomic experiences that everyone raves about. I highly recommend it!
I hope that helps!
Dolly M.
