Ahoy, Sheldon!Welcome aboard planDisney and thanks for bringing your critical questions our way regarding requirements to cruise this year. Yes, we are definitely in a whole new world as things have become more stable since the COVID-19 pandemic. I’m thrilled that you have a cruise vacation to look forward to this summer! At this time, Disney is emphasizing a variety of safety measures to promote health and wellness during your cruise, including updated cleaning protocols during your sailing. Guests are no longer required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to sailing nor are they required to show of vaccination at any stage during online check-in or at the port terminal. It is highly recommended that all Guests be fully vaccinated and unvaccinated Guests are encouraged to take a COVID-19 test two days prior to sailing as we work together to mitigate exposure onboard. Please be sure to keep an eye on the Know Before You Go page on the Disney Cruise Line website as new updates are shared.Your family may continue to do what’s most comfortable for you; my family chose to wear masks on the elevators and in public bathrooms on our cruise last month. I was reassured with the extensive cleaning I observed in our stateroom each day as well as in the public high-touch areas. Otherwise, our cruise felt “back to normal” in every way.I hope you’re getting excited about your summer sailing!
