Hi Jeanine!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to “sea” that you have a Disney Cruise Line vacation on the horizon! Your four-year old is at the perfect age to set sail with Captain Mickey! He will be in awe of all the magic around him and you will have the best time seeing it all alongside him.
Disney Cruise Line policy
does not allow for children to wear swim diapers in the
onboard pools. For children that are not fully potty-trained yet, there are onboard splash pad areas where they can wear a swim diaper while they play and splash around. Often the lifeguards will announce a short swim break which is the perfect time for a break from the pool for bathroom breaks or an Eye Scream treat! It’s also super convenient for parents who need to lure their children back to the stateroom for some downtime! If you are planning on taking your Mouseketeer to the onboard
Youth Clubs, please be aware that children must be fully potty-trained and not in diapers or pull ups to visit during secured programming. If you have any concerns about your little guy having an accident, the best thing I can recommend is to periodically stop in and check on him, either reminding him to use the bathroom in the Youth Club or checking him out and taking him for a bathroom break. Believe me, it’s lots of fun in there with lots of distractions so periodic reminders are always a good idea – even with bigger kids!
Wishing you the most magical of adventures with Captain Mickey and your Mouseketeer!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
