Ahoy there, Elisa!
Welcome aboard planDisney!
A Disney Wonder sailing out of Auckland sounds like an adventure worthy of Maui himself, and I know that as embarkation day gets closer, making sure your
suitcases contain exactly the right mix of “vacation staples” and “just-in-case costumes” becomes a bit of an art form. So let’s get you the treasure you’re hunting for.
As our pal Genie might say, when it comes to entertainment schedules, “there are a few, uh, provisos,” because onboard offerings can shift like the tides. The
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will always be your most up-to-date source once you’re on the ship, with real-time schedules for all the swashbuckling, shimmering, or star-filled fun happening around you.
That said, you’ll be happy to hear that your sailing is currently scheduled to host
Pirate Night on Day 3, which is your stop in Wellington. So yes—pack those pirate threads, whether you go full Captain Hook, give subtle Mr. Smee energy, or simply rock a bandana and call it “nautical chic.” Pirate Night brings themed activities throughout the day, a special menu at dinner, and—weather and Captain Hook permitting—a fireworks-at-sea spectacular that always makes me feel like I’ve sailed straight into the ending of a Disney movie.
And since your itinerary is part of the magical Australia and New Zealand season, don’t forget to keep an eye out for
Bluey and Bingo onboard. I haven’t had the chance to meet them at sea just yet, but I’m hoping my path crosses theirs soon—my kids would absolutely lose their minds.
I hope this helps you feel fully prepared as you chart your course toward adventure. Whether you’re dressing like a pirate, dancing like a Heeler, or simply soaking up every moment on the Wonder, here’s wishing your voyage is filled with memories as legendary as Maui’s fishhook.
Sea ya real soon as the tides turn toward thankful hearts and joyful journeys,
Dustin
