Hi there, Kim!
You have a wonderful adventure awaiting you on the Disney Wonder and I know you are eagerly counting down until you are onboard and off to sea!
Your eleven year old son will love the onboard activities and
Youth Clubs available to him. He can visit the Oceaneer Club and Lab as well as Edge that is geared toward the tweens onboard. The Navigator will list activities in both clubs and he can make his plans from those listings. Another place he will probably want to check out is the
World Wide of Sports deck located on the top deck to shoot hoops or a game of ping pong. You can register him for the Youth Clubs when you complete your Online Check In and then his wristband will be ready when you arrive at the port for embarkation.
Each stateroom has two
wave phones for your use when onboard. If you choose to give him one to use he can reach you OR the Cast Members in the Youth Clubs can reach you via message or a phone call to your wave phone.
Additionally, if he has access to a smart phone you can download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app which has a chat and messenger feature that can be used online on the DCL-GUEST Wifi network.
When your ship docks at Castaway Cay, make sure he checks out Pelican Plunge - a play area complete with two fun and thrilling water slides!
I am excited for your upcoming cruise and know that he will enjoy it as well. You will be surprised at how infrequently you may see him!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
