We are going on a cruise that stops in Orlando for 1 day, Disney is 1 hour from where we dock and I'm wondering what's possible to do with my 2 year old? IS she able to do any of the princess dress ups or tea without going into the park?

    Hi, Deborah!

There are options outside of the theme parks. There is a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disney Springs that doesn't require theme park admission, and Disney's Perfectly Princess Tea is at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

The minimum age for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique of 3, and while there isn't an age restriction on the tea party, guests under 3 are typically free to add on with an older child, but since she's the princess attending, you would pay full price. For younger children, they swap out the gifts for age appropriate ones, since some of the gifts are for children ages 3 and up. The tea also begins at 9 AM, so make sure you have time to get from the port to the resort so you don't miss any of the fun activities.

I think what I would do instead is plan part of the day at Disney Springs, browsing the shops, riding the carousel, maybe even picking out a princess dress to wear. You could also do a late breakfast at a character meal, like Chef Mickey's, which gets you character interaction without rushing to be on time. You might also head over to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to see the animals on the savanna.

You could even do a day at the Magic Kingdom. Book FastPass+ to get three shorter line attractions. Your daughter is free to get in, and you might make some incredible memories.
