We are going on a cruise from Southampton the 22nd-29th on the fantasy. What night will be pirate/formal night? What nights will the shows be on?

    Ahoy there, Jessica!

Welcome aboard planDisney! A European adventure on the Disney Fantasy—now that’s what I call charting a course for magic! I can already picture you and your crew strolling the decks with the sea breeze in your hair, ready for Broadway-worthy shows, swashbuckling fun, and just the right amount of pixie-dusted elegance. Let’s dive right into what’s on the horizon for your sailing!

Entertainment schedules are always subject to change (Captain Mickey likes to keep a little mystery in the mix), but here’s what is currently planned for your itinerary:

    • Day 2 (at sea) – Formal Night (perfect for snapping photos worthy of a royal portrait—Belle would approve!)
    • Day 4 (La Coruna) – Pirate Night (no fireworks due to local laws, but that won’t stop the crew from “yo-ho-ing” the night away!)
    • Day 7 (at sea) – Semi-Formal Night (just fancy enough for a little extra sparkle, but still plenty of time to catch a late-night ice cream cone!)

Now for the Broadway-style shows—aka the “wish upon a star” moments of every Disney cruise! While final schedules will be confirmed in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you’re onboard (you’ll want to connect to the ship’s Wi-Fi as soon as you step aboard to start hearting your favorites), recent Fantasy sailings have looked like this:

    • Day 2 (at sea) – Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular (one of my all-time favorites—Genie absolutely steals the show, so don’t miss it!)
    • Day 5 (Bilbao) – Frozen, A Musical Spectacular (I dare you not to sing along to “Let It Go”...)
    • Day 6 (La Rochelle) – Disney’s Believe (a beautiful story that always gives me goosebumps—definitely a don’t-miss moment!)

Pro tip from my own sailings: formal and semi-formal nights are great times to book a family photo session or just take advantage of the professional photographers in the Atrium. My family still treasures those photos, and we always end up with at least one that’s “frame-worthy back on land.”

I hope this helps you get one step closer to packing that perfect mix of pirate gear, fancy attire, and comfy cruise-casual wear. The best part? No matter what you wear, you’re about to have a week filled with magic, music, and memories that will have you humming “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes” long after you’re back on shore.

Sea ya real soon with a July full of fireworks at sea and memories that sparkle like pixie dust,
    Dustin
